The R5.124 is equally at home in a ported or sealed enclosure, so you can choose the sound you want for your system. You can wire the two 2-ohm voice coils for either 2-Ohm or 8-Ohm impedance, giving you extra versatility as your system changes. They also have High-Temperature Tolerance Adhesives to Resist Thermal Failure, a Rubber Surround w/ UV & Chemical Protection, a Concave IMPP Primary Cone to Increase Effective Surface Area, a Non-Transfer Spruce Pulp Cone w/ UV & Chemical Protection, an Acoustic Canceling Polyvinyl Chloride Gasket & Trim Ring, and Stitched Voice Coil Leads to Prevent Potential Damage.
